AWARD WINNING PHOTO'S

Reflections
This was taken in down town Vancouver and what inspired this shot was way the older Georgia Hotel reflected on this new office build like a image from the past.

MOTION
What inspired this shot was I knew I could catch the movement of the water by slow the shutter speed to a 1/8 of a second at f. 4. This was taken in downtown Vancouver. Received mentions in the B.C. Photo championship.

LONG BEACH

This was my first photo contest I was 12 years old this shot was taken from the bubble dome turret of a PBY float plane that use to regularly fly to Long Beach. This and other pictures taken wound up on B.C. Tels Phone book.

REFLECTIONS

SUNSET AT SALTSPRING
This shot was taken on movie film. The camera was left in the sun for two hours to achieve the effects in the clouds this saturates the back plane of the camera with Ultra-violet radiation. This picture came in 4th national in the Canadian National competion.
SUNSET AT GANGES HARBOR
This shot was taken on movie film. The camera was left in the sun for two hours to achieve the effects in the clouds this saturates the back plane of the camera with Ultra-violet radiation. This picture came in 3rd national in the Canadian National competition.

The next set of pictures is a theme. This is called "Death of the Northern Fleet". This was taken in Prince Rupert and surrounding area and what inspired me here was to tell a story using pictures on how 900 boats where refused licensing in 2000 and the impact it had on the community and how it decimated the people in the surrounding area. Many boats were just abandoned some run aground. Sum just striped of there fishing gear.  this series placed 4th in Canada and inspired many people to take action on rebuilding the community.

 "Death of the Northern Fleet"

 Sunset on the Northern Fleet
Here fishing nets are hung to dry for the last time. Picture was taken down at the docks in Prince Rupert. The sun silhouettes the nets and the boat in the back ground.
This is another  sunset silhouette shot taken at Cow Bay at Prince Rupert.

Reality
The Askar reflects the humilation of the fishing fleet. This shot was taken down by the dock near the mall in Prince Rupert.

 "Left for Nothing"
This shot was taken on the outside coast near the Alaska B.C. border. It reflect the tragedy of loosing everything.
